Here is another set of layouts for my Grandson's 1st year scrapbook album. I can't wait to give this to his mommy on his first birthday! I still have 4 more months to scrap but it won't take me too long.

Scrapbook Layouts for my Grandson's First Year

I have been working on my grandson's first year scrapbook. I make a 1st year scrapbook for every grandchild. I have learned it is best to start it early and not wait until 2 months before they turn one - haha! For this one, I have until June to finish and I have already covered up to 8 months so far so I am right on track. Here is the first sets of layouts:

Wooden Name Sign

I was out garage selling yesterday and came upon some free pieces of scrap wood. So, I of course had to pick them up. I work for a Real Estate team and thought that this would be a good gift idea for a new home gift.
I first painted the wood piece white. While that was drying I began cutting out my letters. It took a couple of times to get the sizing right. I used inexpensive cardstock paper for the cuts. Once I had my letters all ready I sprayed the back with a repositional  spray adhesive.

Once I positioned my letter and stuck them down, I painted the wood piece again.
Once the paint was dry, I removed the letters to display the name.
I then took my sanding block and stressed the edges for a rustic look.
This is the final project. I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt and for the fact that I had all of the supplies on hand so it didn't cost me anything to make :)

My new adventure!

I wanted to share that I have recently decided to return to the working world. As much as I love my crafting adventures, I find that I need to get out of the house more. I am excited to work my brain as well as meet new people! I will be working as a Real Estate Assistant for the Jenkins Group at Century 21 Foothill Realty. http://goldenhillsrealestate.com/  Bob and CJ Jenkins are a Real Estate team at this office and I am looking foward to working with them.

I will still be maintaining my blog as well as creating crafts/projects. I am looking forward to this new path/adventure that I will be on. I imagine that this opportunity will open up more crafty ideas for me :)

More to come....
